Each tool has own registration algorythm, so if you will purchase wrong software, you serial number will not work.
I have installed Permissions Manager. So where is it?
Permissions Manager is implemented as an extension for the Windows Shell (Explorer).
If you right click a file or a folder in the Explorer window, you will see context menu.
Select "Properties" in the menu. It will bring up a dialog with several tabs. On of these
tabs will be titled "Easy Security" or "Easy Security (View)". This is it.
There is also Control Panel applet named "Permissions Manager". It serves for changing
settings, modifying presets and registering the software. Just open the Control Panel, you will find it.
Can not register the software. It says "Sorry, this serial number is not valid, or you have not enough
permissions to access registry."
There are several conditions required for successful saving of the registration information:
- You must be logged on as Administrator (or other account with administrative permissions).
- There must be no leading or trailing spaces in the serial number input control.
- On Vista UAC must not be set to "silent" mode.
If you are running Vista, and you have default setting for UAC, Permissions Manager will ask for raising
privileges while it will be saving registration information. It is OK.
What is MachineID and where can I get it?
MachineID is identifier of your current instance of Windows. It looks like this: 76455-OEM-0011903-00581.
MachineID can be found in the software's registration dialog. So please do not try to register before installing the software.
